Mario & Sonic have reached the summit of Mt. Fuji to promote their most recent adventure!

Switching lanes between modern and retro gameplay styles, Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 offers a unique take on a classic formula!

Whether your Team Mario, Team Sonic, a fan or retro gaming, or a fan of modern gaming, with 30+ events to dive into (including newer Olympic Sports like Surfing, Skateboarding, and Sport Climbing), there’s more than enough fun to be had for the entire family!

What makes Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 unique is the Story Mode, that sees the newfound friends sucked into a retro gaming device designed by Dr. Eggman, that takes our main heroes (and villains) back in time to the 1964 Tokyo Olympics (with all events in this mode brilliantly represented with classic 8 / 16-Bit style graphics and gameplay), however they soon discover that the device they’re all stuck in is running out of battery power, and if the power runs out, they’ll disappear forever!

Fret not though, as Luigi, Tails, and other Sega and Nintendo friends (represented with modern aesthetics and gameplay styles) reluctantly team up with Bowser Jr. and Eggman Nega to bring new power to the ailing retro device!

Can you help Mario & Sonic go for the gold to defeat Bowser and Eggman in Tokyo and get safely back to the present? 🥇

*Bonus Stage: Two other terrific features of Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 are the main map (which acts as an actual map of Tokyo and the layout of the official park, stadiums, and event locations), and also the Olympic trivia bonuses scattered throughout the game in the form of floating cards. If you come across these cards, you can open a new trivia question about Olympic History and display the answer as well. These features were a smart addition that add some great educational content to the game.

Of the 30+ events offered, what would be your first choice to play? Would you prefer the retro or modern events, and which character would you choose?!
